Heated Seats: Extend Your Season
Ride from October to April with genuine comfort
The Cold Seat Problem
Every motorcycle rider knows the feeling: it's November, the roads are dry, the sun is out, but the moment you sit down on that ice-cold seat, the motivation drops. Your core temperature crashes from below, your muscles tense up, and what should be an enjoyable ride becomes an endurance test.
How Our Heating Works
We integrate a carbon-fibre heating element directly into the foam layer of your seat. It connects to your motorcycle's 12V system and draws between 25-40 watts depending on the setting — less than a headlight bulb. A waterproof handlebar switch gives you three heat levels:
- Low (25W): Gentle warmth. Takes the edge off on 5-10°C mornings.
- Medium (32W): Comfortable warmth. Ideal for 0-5°C rides.
- High (40W): Full heat. Rides in near-freezing conditions become genuinely comfortable.
Real-World Performance
We tested our heated seats through a full Dutch winter:
- Warm-up time from cold: under 2 minutes to noticeable warmth
- Even heat distribution across the entire seating surface
- No hot spots or temperature inconsistencies
- Battery impact: negligible on a healthy X-ADV battery, even on long rides
- Rain compatibility: heating element is fully sealed, zero water ingress risk
Installation
The heating element is pre-installed in your seat when you order it. The only external component is the handlebar switch, which connects to your battery with two wires. We include detailed instructions, but any motorcycle shop can do it in 15 minutes if you prefer professional installation.
